    Items described as ‘Sterling silver and 925 sold at Barn Owl Bothy -Sterling silver products and findings below 7.78g do not need to be hallmarked in the UK. Although most of Barn Owl Bothy produce are often stamped 925. Our artisans buy their findings from reputable UK companies and silver weight  of their products is less than 7.78g."UK law requires any sterling silver product over 7.78 grams in weight to be hallmarked by one of the four UK independent Assay Offices. A hallmark is not be to confused with a manufacturers '925' stamp."

  • Cancellation Policy

    For online and telephone purchases, we'll refund the standard delivery charge if the full order is returned within 14 days. Or 28 days for online gift cards.

    Barn Owl Bothy provide a cancellation period of 14 days starting from the day after delivery of the goods and this is the amount of time you, as the consumer has to inform us of your cancellation.
    To cancel a Contract, you must inform us in writing via email is preferred to enquirires@barnowlbothy.com ( other forms of contract can be found on our contact page) please fill in our model cancellation form , which can be found on our ‘legal stuff page’ and email enquiries@ barnowlbothy.com. Where a consumer exercises their right of withdrawal or cancellation we will refund any money paid in relation to the contract. This means the full purchase price of the goods including the cost of original delivery . However, if a consumer has expressly requested a more expensive delivery option, for example, next day delivery that is more expensive than our stated basic cost, we are only obliged to refund your basic delivery cost.
    We endeavour to reimburse the consumer without undue delay and within 14 days from the day after the consumer informs you of their cancellation. Or if the consumer is sending goods back to us, we need to reimburse within 14 days of the day you get the goods back . Once you have contracted us regarding your cancellation , we will email you a return postage label to print out , at cost to Barn Owl Bothy so that you can return the goods to us.
    The consumer does have a duty to take reasonable care of the goods while in their possession and we have a right to deduct an amount from the refund if you have diminished the value of the goods.

    Once a consumer decides to buy we will provide you with specific information. This includes amongst other things, details of the goods or services, delivery arrangements and payment, with our full business contact details and the consumer's cancellation rights ( available from our website , under legal stuff). This will be sent in email if requested. Details of our complaints handling policy can be found on our website ( under legal stuff) and this will be sent to you once you’ve have contacted us with your compliant.
    We endeavour to provide a timely delivery time , without undue delay and in any case no later than 30 days from the day after the contract was made.

    Products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons are:

    • Beauty products, soaps, beeswax products

  • Delivery Costs

    Delivery is through First or Second Class Royal Mail ( under £20 order value) or signed 1st or 2nd Class Royal Mail ( order valued over £20 ). Normally orders take 1-3 working days (UK Mainland) once the item has been dispatched. Once dispatched an email confirmation is sent to you. Delays may be possible during busy times and covid - this is outwith our control. If you are in a rush to get something, faster shipping arrangements may be possible if you contact the business before ordering with any special requests.

    Total shipping costs are calculated at the shopping cart , when you go to cart, at which point you can cancel your order.

  • Returns

    Here at Barn Owl Bothy providing the best quality products and service is extremely important to us. If you are not completely satisfied, please return the goods to us, our returns period is 14 days for a full refund or 28 days if a gift card, from the day of receipt. If you are not completely satisfied, please contact us in the first instance , in writing , email to Enquiries@barnowlbothy.com preferred ( see contact page for other contact details) . Please return the goods to us, unused and in the original packaging and we will happily provide a refund or alternatively, exchange the item accordingly. Please note all returned items need to be returned unworn.

    Full purchase price of the goods including the cost of original delivery will be refunded . However, if a consumer has expressly requested a more expensive delivery option, for example, next day delivery that is more expensive than our basic delivery charge cost, we are only obliged to refund your basic delivery cost.

    In cases where a refund is agreed, please be aware that this can take between 10-14 days to be refunded back to you via some banking transactions ( this is out with our control ) .A refund will always be processed back to the original payment method that was made during purchase.

    We will send you a returns postage label via email .
    We ask that you as the consumer acts with due diligence, you have a duty to take reasonable care of the goods while in your possession and we have a right to deduct an amount from the refund if they have diminished the value of the goods.

    Please ensure that the goods are returned using the return label which we will email to you , to cover postage in the original packaging.

    A refund will always be processed back to the original payment method that was made during purchase.

  • Cancellation handling Policy

    For online and telephone purchases, we'll refund the standard delivery charge if the full order is returned within 14 days. Or 28 days for online gift cards.

    Barn Owl Bothy provide a cancellation period of 14 days starting from the day after delivery of the goods and this is the amount of time you, as the consumer has to inform us of your cancellation.
    To cancel a Contract, you must inform us in writing via email is preferred to enquirires@barnowlbothy.com ( other forms of contract can be found on our contact page) . A model cancellation form can be found on our ‘legal stuff page’ please use or at in the least include the information laid out in the form so that we can contact you with ease. Where a consumer exercises their right of withdrawal or cancellation we will refund any money paid in relation to the contract. This means the full purchase price of the goods including the cost of original delivery . However, if a consumer has expressly requested a more expensive delivery option, for example, next day delivery that is more expensive than our stated basic cost, we are only obliged to refund your basic delivery cost.
    We endeavour to reimburse the consumer without undue delay and within 14 days from the day after the consumer informs you of their cancellation. Or if the consumer is sending goods back to us, we need to reimburse within 14 days of the day you get the goods back or, if earlier, 14 days from the day you receive proof from the consumer that the goods have been sent back. Once you have contracted us regarding your cancellation , we will email you a return postage label to print out , at cost to Barn Owl Bothy to return the goods to us.
    The consumer does have a duty to take reasonable care of the goods while in their possession and we have a right to deduct an amount from the refund if you have diminished the value of the goods.

    Once a consumer decides to buy we will provide you with specific information. This includes amongst other things, details of the goods or services, delivery arrangements and payment, with our full business contact details and the consumer's cancellation rights ( available from our website , under legal stuff). This will be sent in email if requested. Details of our complaints handling policy can be found on our website ( under legal stuff) and this will be sent to you once you’ve have contacted us with your compliant.
    We endeavour to provide a timely delivery time , without undue delay and in any case no later than 30 days from the day after the contract was made.

    Products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons are:

    • Pierced earrings
    • Face coverings and snoods
    • Beauty products, soaps, beeswax products
